I am a fully qualified Dispensing Optician with over 35 years of experience. I am registered with the GOC and ABDO, with full indemnity insurance and up to date DBS checks. I have extensive knowledge of many frame & lens brands and have experience working with various practice management systems.
Career Experience
During my career I have worked in both independent practice and multiple settings. I have managed teams of professionals and support staff in practice, as well as spending 4 years working as a field sales lens consultant for Essilor and Sola Optical. This has given me the opportunity to see the world of optics from many different perspectives. Over this time I have developed my friendly, flexible and patient focused approach. I continue to be passionate about giving my patients informed choices in a professional manner and always offering the most recent technologies for the best outcome. I chose to be a Locum D.O so that I could have the work/life balance that I needed. This allows me to spend time with my friends, family and dogs, whilst choosing when and where I work.

I’m not tied to any organisations, practices, or suppliers, and I don’t have any financial or contractual links with providers of optical services or products.
